Job 4 : Working at Big Chill Festival 03/08/11

This week I'm working at the big chill festival. Fairly annoying as I got an email this morning offering me a brief to design a relatively simple website for a friend of mines new catering company with a similar design aesthetic to that of the Hendricks gin brand/website. This would have been right up my street! However he needs it done by the 14th and as this will only be the second website I have made I feel that I would not want to leave it until next week to start. Unfortunately in this situation I have to prioritize this over that as I will earn a lot more working at Big Chill. I really hope this will be the last Summer I have to do that!

Job 3 : Painting and decorating 06/07/11

This week and next I am working as a painter and decorator. Felt like I got off to a good start and considered it as a career path, almost a week in, and I'm not so sure. It's pretty back breaking and it gets a little repetitive.

Job 2 : Working at Hop Farm 27/06/11

This week I am off to work at Hop Farm music festival in kent. From a graphic design perspective I think that it is an interesting festival as they pride themselves on the fact that they allow no sponsorship or branding. I like the brand aesthetic for the festival - very organic and represents the atmosphere of the festival well.

I also love the Hop Farm festival website which follows a hand drawn aesthetic which is something I really love.

Hoping to get back to London in time to catch the end of New Blood! Although I finish midday on Monday so we shall see.

Job 1 : Working in a call centre 20/06/11

This week I have been living the dream - working in an agricultural research centre.

Here are some drawings which I created using paint while passing time at work :
